  Actually, I am back at GCU...I am just addicted to this University and I have so many nice memories. I am doing the Counseling Psych. program here and I will be graduating, hopefully, in Fall 2009. But, I am very nervous and I wanted to share my feelings with my alumni gals. Thanks a bunch. Here from you soon...okay. Eman class of '05

  I started taking Masters courses (at another university)beginning last fall and I know what you are feeling. It was hard to get back into the swing of things. I had a busy schedule during my undergraduate years, but working full time and then going to school at night is a whole other story. I find I am exhausted by mid-week. I now see the sacrifice people make for education and keep reminding myself that getting the degree is worth all the sacrifices in the end. As I am now further along into my courses I am enjoying them immensely. I love how focused the advanced topics are compared to undergraduate courses. You are making the right choice coming back into the counseling program and I think you will enjoy it and be glad to be back in the classroom. The best supporters will be your fellow classmates.

  Hi Eman,

I can understand the feelings of nervousness. I am back at GCU too for Teacher Certification and I do feel nervous about starting to teach! I say distribute that nervous energy into something good, right!?

  I have a question... do we have GCU email address even though we are alumni

  Alumni do not have an active GCU email account. What you do have as a registered member of this community is Email Forwarding. With the use of Email Forwarding you may establish a “permanent” email address which does not change, and which you may feel free to give out without worrying that it will be altered in six months because you changed jobs or internet service providers. To take advantage of Email Forwarding, click the My Account link (near the top of your screen) and select the Email Forwarding tab. Thank you for your question.

  Just to update, I am not graduating Fall 2009, I am graduating this Spring 2009...Yey! I am very excited and I look back at all the hard work I have done...I am very proud of myself because I have accomplished a lot in a time frame that I thought I would never stick to. Thanks GCU Alumni need to do more postings...where is everyone?
